The idea of pushing boundaries, straying away from the norm and taking risks in the name of good content has always been something I’ve valued myself on. So when the thought of climbing a half built hotel on a rainy day near the end of summer in the middle of Leeds came into mind there was no other option but to go for it.
The building in queastion initialy started life as a brand new Hilton hotel but after 4 years of work still remains a complete shell, a playground to the creative eye. But there’s one piece in particular we came for and that lies on the partly built 14th floor. After a fairly easy to navigate ascent we found ourselves rewarded with panoramic views of the entire city, an abundance of textures and unique backdrops. The streets below looking like a childs play mat. There’s a real sense of peace and escapism you get from separating yourself from the noise and chaos of the city beneath. This paired with the inevitable adrenaline rush creates quite the addictive feeling.Wearing.

Just a heads up. It’s definitely worth shopping around for Hurraches. I managed to grab a pair from Zalando for less than half the price Nike had them up for but sadly they’re out of stock at the minute.Freerunner and photographer Benji Story was behind the lens for some shots and with me on this climb, you should check him out.Until next time.
